Ryan Mackin: From Struggle to Spotlight — A Journey Fueled by Resilience and Music

Ryan Mackin is an independent hip-hop artist, storyteller, and the founder of Back2Jax Productions. Born in Westerly, Rhode Island and now based in Florida, his journey is defined by resilience, self-belief, and an unshakable commitment to authenticity.

Music became Ryan’s anchor long before it became his profession. After being removed from his mother’s care at age nine and enduring years of instability, he found creative refuge in poetry and lyrics. What began as a survival mechanism grew into a voice powerful enough to inspire others facing their own storms.

His return to music is more than a comeback—it’s the start of his second act. Ryan refuses to be boxed in, blending hip-hop with soul, grit with vulnerability, and ambition with real human stories. Every verse carries a piece of his truth, especially in tracks like “It’s Possible,” released in December 2024—a declaration that even the broken can rise.

Through Back2Jax Productions, Ryan is building more than a brand; he’s building a movement grounded in faith, independence, and healing. His work speaks to anyone who’s been counted out but never stopped believing. He’s open to major label partnerships that align with his vision but isn’t waiting for permission to make an impact.

This is not just music. This is legacy in motion.
